International Human Resources Management (IGS/Carlos III) - MSc

Overview

The full-time MSc International Human Resources Management course is taught in a truly international context in two world capital cities and offers a collaborative programme awarding master’s degrees from LSBU and Carlos III University, Madrid or the Institut de Gestion Sociale (IGS), Paris.

The course is designed for graduates of any discipline who intend to develop a career in global business in the area of human resource management, or in any area of management which places a high priority on the exercise of people management skills.

Building upon the expertise and opportunities available at all the institutions, the programme focuses on the management of human resources in international companies and the issues associated with the management of international staff, and includes the opportunity of an internship. Members of the programme are supported and encouraged to develop research skills in a business environment through the production of an internship-based masters dissertation, which represents the culmination of the programme.

Upon completion you’ll be awarded two Masters degrees: MSc in International Human Resources Management (UK) and a degree from either IGS Paris, Carlos III University, depending on your route of study.

The course is taught in English in all locations. You will study in Paris or Madrid for 4 months, and London for 4 months followed by a 6-7 month international internship.

Entry requirements

Students for this programme need to apply direct to IGS or Carlos III University.

Students are usually from overseas wishing to gain a masters level degree in international HR on a truly internationally delivered course in Paris, Madrid and London, which they can then utilise back in their country of origin or to further an international career. The course also attracts a number of UK, Spanish and French students wishing to specialise in international human resource management.
