Overview

The Main Event

From commercial sector meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) through to festivals, arts, cultural, community and sporting events, the thriving events industry in London makes the perfect place to study the management of events and entertainment.
Both practical and career focused, on this course you’ll learn about event strategy, design, logistics, operations, sustainability, law, health and safety, as well as business management, leadership, marketing and human resources giving you a head start to finding a career or starting your own business in the events and entertainment industry.

This course is delivered by both events industry professionals and academic experts and guest speakers so you’ll be able to apply theory to practical event management, with the opportunity to produce your own live events as part of the course curriculum.

During the course, you will study the diverse and conflicting interests within the international events and entertainment sector as well as the principles of good business, ethics and sustainability practice. The course also has a focus on building practical skills and workplace experience.

Entry requirements

  • A Level BCC or:
  • BTEC National Diploma MMM or:
  • Access to HE qualifications with 9 Distinctions and 36 Merits or:
  • Equivalent Level 3 qualifications worth 106 UCAS points
  • Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English, or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above).
